Malcolm Harbour
Malcolm is the coordinator for the EPP-ED group on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee, an influential position that places him at the heart of EU policy making. Malcolm is also a sub-member of the Industry Research and Energy Committee. He has a special interest in the Ceramics and Automotive Industries, E-Commerce and Electronic Communications. He uses his extensive industrial experience to work closely with UK business, championing the causes of deregulation and competitiveness. He has also led a number of projects in car safety, communication and the internet. Philip Bushill-MatthewsPhilip is the EPP-ED coordinator on the Employment and Social Affairs Committee and Vice Chairman of the SME Circle - dedicated to promoting small and medium sized Enterprises. He has led the campaign on the Working Time Directive, so that employees can choose to work longer hours for overtime pay. Philip has fought to block the Temporary Workers Directive, to preserve the flexibility sought by employers and employees alike. He is the only West Midlands MEP on the Environment and Health Committee and in December 2005 he was elected Treasurer of the Conservative MEP delegation. Philip Bradbourn OBE MEPPhilip is Senior Vice Chairman and Conservative Spokesman on Justice, Home Affairs and Local Government. He was also Conservative Chief Whip from 2004-2007. Philip takes responsibility for Transport, Tourism and Regional Development and is leading the fight against the Government's regionalisation plans. He has been successful in blocking EU legislation on Supply Chain Security, potentially costing local industry £millions and won a victory for local farmers to have bio fuel crops included in the EU Research Programme. Philip takes a particular interest in Aviation Security and as a Member of the Parliamentary Delegation for relations with the USA is keen to promote the development for a transatlantic open market.
